    Karimnagar:
Residents of the 16th Division held a protest in front of Karimnagar Dairy on Tuesday. They were angry about the pollution of groundwater caused by the waste from the dairy, which has been ongoing for the past decade. This pollution has led to various health problems, including skin diseases.

The residents explained that the pollution has not only affected their health but has also damaged their homes. Kitchen utensils and house gates have been badly affected. The Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level in the bore water has reached 2000, which is considered dangerous, making the water unsafe for drinking.

The dairy waste also produces a terrible smell. This foul odour begins in Padmanagar and spreads as far as the two-town police station, making it hard for people to breathe. Residents, especially children and the elderly, are suffering due to this.

In addition to the smell, thick smoke is coming from the dairy’s chimney. This smoke spreads ash everywhere, which collects on the roofs of houses. This has led to an increase in respiratory problems, such as asthma and lung issues, particularly in children.

Residents are asking the authorities to take action. They want the waste from the dairy to be controlled, both in the water and the air, and for the unpleasant smell to be reduced. This, they said, is necessary to protect their health and well-being.
