    Anitha Gehlot, crowned Mrs. Classic Winner of the Miss and Mrs. Strong & Beautiful 2025 pageant, officially opened the National Silk Expo in Hyderabad this week. The event is taking place at Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam in Srinagar Colony.

    This vibrant 6-day exhibition, organized by Jagdishwar Hastkala, brings together a stunning collection of handmade cotton and silk clothing. All the pieces come directly from skilled weavers across India, showcasing the rich tradition of Indian handlooms.

    At the launch, Gehlot praised the event for giving women access to authentic, handcrafted fashion. She noted that events like these empower buyers to support local craftsmanship and appreciate the effort behind each handmade item.

    Jayesh Kumar, the event organizer, explained that the goal of the expo is to support traditional artisans by connecting them directly with customers. He emphasized that cutting out middlemen ensures fair prices for both weavers and buyers.

    The expo is open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM and will run until May 6. Visitors can explore a wide range of ethnic wear, all made with care and tradition.
