On the occasion of Ugadi, Karnataka devotees walking to Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam were given free meals at the Bala Brahmeshwara Sametha Jogulamba Temple in Alampur. This Annadanam (free meal service) was organized by Idupanur Sri Math Peethadhipathi, Sri Manjunath Swamy.

During their journey, Sri Jagadguru Peethadhipathi of Srisailam, Sri Sri Sri Chennasiddharama Shivacharya Mahaswami, visited the Jogulamba Temple in Alampur. He later praised Sri Manjunath Swamy for his dedicated efforts in providing food to the devotees.

Speaking at the event, Sri Manjunath Swamy highlighted the importance of Annadanam. He stated that feeding others is the greatest form of charity. He explained that food is considered sacred and should never be wasted. Unlike other donations, where people may want more, food is unique because one can only eat as much as needed, making it a highly valuable act of kindness.
