    The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TS EAPCET) 2024 results were released on Saturday. The pass percentage in the Engineering stream decreased by 6.65%, while it increased by 3.32% in the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream compared to last year.

    Officials reported a slight decline in the overall pass percentage in the Engineering stream from the past two years. This year, it was 74.98%, while it was 80.33% in 2023 and 80.41% in 2022. On the other hand, there was a slight improvement in the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, with pass percentages of 89.66% in 2024, 86.31% in 2023, and 88.34% in 2022.

    Out of the 2,40,618 students who appeared for the Engineering test, 74.98% qualified. In the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, out of 91,633 candidates, 89.66% were qualified. Girls outperformed boys in both streams, with higher qualifying percentages.

    Principal Secretary to Government (Education department) of Telangana, Burra Venkatesham, announced that the government would soon release the admission counselling schedule and academic calendar. The process of affiliating private engineering colleges is ongoing, with enough seats available for engineering programs.

    In the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, Aloor Praneetha from Andhra Pradesh secured the first rank, followed by N Radha Krishna from Andhra Pradesh and Gaddam SHRI Varshini from Telangana. In the Engineering stream, Sativada Jyothiraditya from Srikakulam claimed the first rank.

    Overall, the results showed a mix of performance levels in the different streams, with girls generally performing better than boys in both categories.
