Arshdeep Singh Credits Changed Run-Up for Avoiding No Ball in Leading PBKS to a Thrilling Win over Mumbai in IPL 2023

Punjab Kings’ Arshdeep Singh said that a change in his run-up before this year’s IPL season helped him avoid no balls and find his rhythm. He played a crucial role in his team’s 13-run win over Mumbai Indians on Saturday, picking up four wickets for 29 runs. The target was 215, and MI fell short by 13 runs.

Singh said at the post-match presentation that he was enjoying his cricket right now and felt good whenever he took wickets. He added that calmness comes naturally to him during pressure situations, and his heart rate doesn’t even go up to 120.

Punjab Kings captain Sam Curran described the win at MI’s home ground as special. He was named player of the match for his 55 off in 29 balls in the Punjab innings. Curran praised Singh and Nathan Ellis for their incredible performances, and the spinners for bowling well.

MI captain Rohit Sharma conceded that his side made some errors in the field but said he would not look too much into that. He told his team to keep their heads high and stay in the game and competition. He credited Arshdeep for his bowling and said that it was not their day, but they gave a good fight.
