Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament, stated that the ‘Razakars’ have gone to Pakistan, while the loyalists have remained in India. He expressed his desire to send the supporters of Godse and Savarkar, responding to the RSS and BJP, who refer to AIMIM as a party of ‘Razakars’.

To commemorate the National Integration Day on the anniversary of the merger of erstwhile Hyderabad State with the Union, AIMIM organized a grand ‘Tiranga Bike Rally’. Asad visited Dargah Yousufain, Nampally, and led the rally on his top-end bike from the dargah. The rally ended at hockey grounds (Eidgah Bilali) with a large public meeting.

The central part of the city was filled with people and tricolor flags, as thousands of youngsters gathered for the rally and celebrated the day. Party MLAs, corporators, leaders from Maharashtra, including advocate Waris Pathan, and activists participated in the rally.

Addressing the participants, Asad responded to the RSS and BJP’s characterization of his party as ‘Razakars’. He emphasized that ‘Razakars’ left the country, while those loyal to the country chose to stay in India.

Asad explained the circumstances leading to the merger of the state with India and the emergence of separate Telangana. He clarified that AIMIM is led by successors of Turrebaaz Khan and Maulvi Allauddin, who fought against the British during the first War of Independence, not by Qasim Rizvi, the head of Razakars.

He highlighted the violence perpetrated by Razakars against Hindus and the cruelty towards Dalits in villages. Referring to the Pandit Sunderlal Commission report, he mentioned that over 20,000 Muslims were killed during ‘Police Action’ or ‘Operation Polo’. He urged youngsters to refer to the report to understand the history and the police action.

Asad criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was in the city, accusing him of lying about the police action and comparing him to Jawaharlal Nehru. He also targeted the saffron party, stating that the Razakars had fled, while loyalists remained in India. He emphasized the determination of loyalists to stay and fight against mob lynching by the BJP.

Asad clarified that Qasim Rizvi was the president of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and desired the merger of Hyderabad State with Pakistan. He emphasized that MIM, under Abdul Wahid Owaisi’s leadership, believes in the Constitution and was revived with a new constitution.

He concluded by stating that this grand celebration of National Integration Day not only showcases AIMIM’s historical significance but also serves as a strategic move as the party prepares for the upcoming State Assembly elections.
