Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of AIMIM and Hyderabad MP, criticized the leaders of the Congress and BJP who are currently in the city. He accused them of only visiting during elections and holding rallies and public meetings. Speaking at a public meeting, Asad stated that these parties only wake up during elections and criticize without clear policies and objectives.

Mocking the visiting leaders, Asad said they wake up at election time and tell their supporters to get ready for polls, while Majlis activists have been working tirelessly for the past five years. He claimed that unlike other parties, Majlis does not gear up before elections but works after results are out and focuses on serving the people. According to Asad, Majlis public representatives work day and night for the citizens of Hyderabad, with MLAs present at the party headquarters six days a week to address public grievances.

He appealed to the citizens of Hyderabad and Telangana to maintain peace and harmony during two upcoming religious gatherings – Ganesh immersion and Milad-un-Nabi, which fall on the same day.
