Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the MIM party, has demanded that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath, resign. He believes that the BJP government played a role in the shooting of politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother. Owaisi held a press conference in Hyderabad on Sunday, calling for an investigation supervised by the Supreme Court. He also requested that no officers from Uttar Pradesh be involved in the investigation.
Owaisi accused the BJP government of not following the rule of law and instead running with the rule of the gun. He stated that the killing of Atiq Ahmed and his brother in Prayagraj was a “cold-blooded” murder. Owaisi questioned how the three miscreants obtained their weapons and why they were allegedly chanting religious slogans after the shooting.
Overall, Owaisi is calling for justice and transparency in the investigation into the shooting of Atiq Ahmed and his brother.
