Athletic achievements of tribal girl recognized

A tribal girl from a remote area showed off her sports skills at a national level competition. Padige Indhu, a 10th Grade student at a tribal gurukulam in Bhadrachalam town, was selected for a national coaching camp. She has been involved in sports from a young age and recently participated in the Rajasthan National Athletics Meet, competing in various events like shotput, long jump, discus throw, and sprint races.

Indhu has previously won the EMRS national games in Hyderabad and also achieved the Individual Overall Championship in the Under-14 category at the Kinnerasani and Utnoor Inter Society League (ISL) sports events. Her parents, Satyanarayana and Anitha, are farmers from Lakshmidevi Palli Gattumalle village in Kothagudem district. Indhu is their eldest daughter.

In recognition of her accomplishments, B Rahul, the ITDA Project Officer for Bhadrachalam, honored Indhu with a felicitation ceremony. The event was attended by Tribal Gurukulam Society authorities, Bhadrachalam Tribal Gurukulam Principal M Devdas, Sports Officer Ravikumar, and Tribal Gurukulam Regional Coordinating Officer Tumiki Venkateswara Raju.
