Authorities Warn of Legal Action Over Illegal Sand Stockpiling in Wanaparthy District

Illegal Sand Stockpiling Cracked Down in Wanaparthy District

Officials in Wanaparthy district are taking strict action against the illegal stockpiling of sand. Additional Collector Revenue G. Venkateswarlu has warned that legal action will be taken against those involved in unlawful sand operations.

On Thursday, during an inspection by RDO Subrahmanyam and Tahsildar, nearly 400 tractors of illegally stored sand were found in different locations within Rampuram village of Pebberu mandal. This discovery was made based on intelligence reports about illegal sand stockpiles.

Following this, RDO Subrahmanyam ordered the immediate seizure of the illegally stored sand. He also instructed officials to identify and take legal action against those responsible for the unauthorized stockpiling and selling of sand.

Additionally, the Additional Collector advised the RDO to file cases against tractor owners transporting sand illegally. The operation was carried out with the participation of Pebbair MRO Lakshmi and other officials.
