Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police organized the Ganesh festival with careful planning and collaboration among various departments. The event ran from August 27 to September 6 and proceeded smoothly.

During the festival, 88,182 idols were immersed in the Cyberabad area. Senior officers used the Public Safety Integrated Operations Centre (PSIOC) to monitor activities and respond quickly to any incidents.

In terms of specific locations, 16,309 idols were immersed in Madhapur Zone, 26,542 in Balanagar, 23,952 in Medchal, 18,308 in Rajendranagar, and 3,071 in Shamshabad. 490 idols were immersed at Hussain Sagar, Tank Bund, and nearly 28,000 idols were three feet or taller.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty stated that the police made extensive arrangements at 33 major lakes and tanks. They deployed 5,785 personnel for security, including special SHE teams and about 65 cranes. Security checks ensured safe procession routes.

The Commissioner praised the smooth festival conclusion, highlighting the teamwork of the Cyberabad Police, GHMC, TGSPDCL, R&B, TRANSCO, Transport, Irrigation, Fire Services, and Health departments. He also commended the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi, media, and public for their support in maintaining peace.
