Hyderabad: Mohammad Azharuddin, the TPCC Working President, has urged for land to be allocated for a Muslim graveyard in the Jubilee Hills area. He emphasized that the community has been requesting this for a long time.
On Wednesday, Azharuddin met with Waqf Board Chairman Azmathullah Hussaini to formally ask for this land allocation.
He pointed out that the current graveyard in Sanjay Nagar, near the Sriram Nagar slum, cannot accommodate the community’s needs.
Azharuddin suggested using part of the nearby quarry land for the new graveyard. He also asked local officials to visit and discuss the matter with Muslim community leaders.
In response, Azmathullah Hussaini promised to visit the location soon to evaluate the available land and work on a solution.
