    Hyderabad: Former cricketer and Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president, Mohammad Azharuddin, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today. The ED is investigating a money laundering case related to financial irregularities during his time as HCA president from 2020 to 2023.

    The case involves allegations of misusing ₹3.8 crore. Azharuddin, who is currently out on anticipatory bail, spoke to the media after his appearance. He claimed that the accusations against him are false and promised to share more details after the investigation.

    The ED is looking closely into whether funds within the HCA were misused, with Azharuddin’s role being a major focus. The case has drawn a lot of public attention because of Azharuddin’s significant standing in Indian cricket and sports administration.
