In the past, he served as the Block President of Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency from 2006-2008 and held two terms as Secretary of the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee from 2008-2014. He contested the Corporation Election from Ramnasthpura Division of Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency in 2009. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Election Commission Co-ordination Committee in TPCC.
