Adilabad: The Bakrid festival, also called Eid ul Adha, was joyfully celebrated on Saturday throughout the former Adilabad district.
Many Muslims gathered at Eidghas early in the morning to participate in special prayers, marking this significant day in the Islamic calendar.
Dressed in traditional clothes, worshippers exchanged “Eid Mubarak” greetings and embraced each other after the prayers. The atmosphere was joyful and filled with spiritual reflection.
Authorities ensured tight security and smooth traffic around mosques and prayer grounds in Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts. Leaders and dignitaries sent warm wishes to the Muslim community, emphasizing values like compassion, sacrifice, and brotherhood.
