Nandamuri Balakrishna was recently seen at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad, working on the dubbing for his highly anticipated film, ‘Akhanda 2’. While doing so, he also had an important meeting with key Tollywood producers about the challenges the industry is currently facing.
Producers like Maitri Ravi, Chamber President Bharat Bhushan, Gopinath Achanta, and Damodar Prasad met with Balakrishna to discuss pressing issues affecting the Telugu film industry. They shared the latest decisions made by the Active Producers Guild to tackle these challenges.
Prasanna Kumar, Secretary of the Producers Council, was also part of the conversation. Balakrishna, known for his candid opinions, showed strong support for the producers and shared practical advice.
He emphasized the need for actors to contribute more films each year to keep the industry vibrant. “I personally do four films annually,” Balakrishna said, highlighting the importance of maintaining a steady flow of content.
Balakrishna also stressed the need for cost-effective filmmaking. He advised producers to keep production costs in check to maintain balance in the industry.
Regarding issues with workers and unions, Balakrishna expressed confidence in resolving them. “Workers are crucial to our industry, and I believe existing problems will be sorted out soon,” he stated.
Balakrishna’s active engagement and hopeful outlook have lifted the industry’s spirits, particularly as the Telugu film community deals with financial pressures and restructuring. With ‘Akhanda 2’ gaining traction and Balakrishna pushing for solutions, the industry appears ready for a positive turnaround.
