Protests erupted in Vemulawada on a Friday, led by leaders from various BC associations. They expressed anger towards district Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, accusing him of disrespecting BC MLA Aadi Srinivas and not adhering to protocol.
This demonstration was organized by BC community groups. Protesters gathered in front of the Munnuru Kapu Nithyanne Satram building. They then proceeded to the Sub-Divisional Police Office to file a complaint with Additional SP Sheshadri Reddy.
The leaders claimed that the Collector insulted MLA Aadi Srinivas, an elected public figure, and ignored protocol.
BC leaders Polasa Narender, Chiluka Ramesh, and Bojja Kanakaiah stated, “We will not accept the disrespect of a BC MLA under the guise of upper-caste dominance.” They urged the State government to take immediate action and suspend the Collector.
Around 50 leaders and activists participated in the protest, including Kuragayala Komaraiah, Bondila Mahesh, Nandipeta Sudarshan Yadav, Namala Pochetti, Puli Rambabu, Muppidi Sridhar, and Ippupula Ajay.
