In Gadwal, the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. T. Srinivasa Rao, praised the work of the Bharosa Center. He highlighted its dedication over the past three years to supporting women affected by sexual harassment. The center provides medical, legal, psychological, and counseling services, enabling victims to regain their dignity and strength.
The Bharosa Center celebrated its third anniversary with enthusiasm, under the guidance of SP Srinivasa Rao. The team organized the event, featuring a survivor who benefited from the center’s services, to demonstrate its positive impact.
Bharosa WSI Swathi presented a comprehensive report to the District SP, detailing registered cases and support offered. The report featured counseling, medical care, legal help, educational support, and financial aid for some victims.
Several victims, including Class 10 students, received recognition and gifts for their resilience. This gesture aimed to encourage and appreciate their perseverance.
SP Srinivasa Rao stressed the importance of recording victims’ statements accurately and ensuring they receive top-notch legal, medical, and psychological support. He emphasized that counseling should help victims avoid feeling stigmatized. He encouraged the staff to help women become economically independent and self-reliant.
He instructed the team to offer 24/7 support and remain a steadfast support system for victims. He praised the Bharosa Center for its dedication and effectiveness.
The event also featured Gadwal DSP Mr. Mogilayya, Bharosa Coordinator Shivani, and team members Sravanthi, Swetha, Sirisha, Kavitha, and Keerthi. Their significant contributions to the center’s mission were acknowledged.
