Bhongir: On Saturday, Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao announced the appointment of A Bhaskar Rao as the Additional Collector of Local Bodies in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
Two months ago, the government transferred K Gangadhar, the previous Additional Collector for Local Bodies, to become the Secretary of HMDA.
Since Gangadhar’s transfer, the position remained vacant. Veera Reddy, the Additional Collector for Revenue, temporarily managed the local bodies’ duties.
Previously, Rao was the Executive Officer at the Yadagirigutta temple. The government transferred him at the end of April. Rao is set to assume his new role on Sunday.
