Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying to stir up communal tension in the country because he is afraid of losing the upcoming elections. Bhatti made these claims while attending campaign meetings in Nirmal district and speaking to the media.

According to Bhatti, the BJP is plotting to change the Constitution and weaken democracy. He emphasized the importance of electing the Congress party to defend democracy and the Indian Constitution. Bhatti framed the upcoming election as a battle between Modi, who wants to alter the Constitution and reduce democracy, and Rahul Gandhi, who is fighting to protect democracy and the Constitution on behalf of the people.

Bhatti criticized Modi for aiming to secure a third term as Prime Minister in order to benefit multinational corporations at the expense of national wealth. He urged people to vote for Congress if they want to safeguard national wealth, protect the rights of marginalized communities like SCs, STs, BCs, and minorities, and ensure their representation in political decision-making.
