Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka visited the tomb of Gaddar, a revolutionary balladeer who passed away in August 2023. He paid tribute and spoke with Gaddar’s family, including his wife Vimala, son Suryam, and daughter Vennala. Vimala became emotional upon seeing Vikramarka, but he comforted her and promised that the State government would support Gaddar’s family.
During the visit, Vikramarka praised Gaddar’s efforts in using art and culture to bring attention to the struggles faced by marginalized and oppressed people in society. The family also handed over a petition to Vikramarka, requesting the official organization of Gaddar’s birth and death anniversaries. MLA Prem Sagar Rao, former MLA K Lakshma Reddy, and other leaders accompanied Vikramarka during the visit.
