State Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka went to the Communist Party of India (CPM) office in Hyderabad to ask for their support in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He met with CPM leaders and requested their help, especially in areas where the CPM is strong like Khammam and Nalgonda.

The Congress had previously formed an alliance with the CPI in the State during the Assembly elections last year. The CPI had even won a seat in Khammam district. The Congress hopes that getting support from communist parties will help them win more seats in Telangana and increase their overall tally nationally.

In Telangana, there are 17 Lok Sabha segments and the Congress is contesting in all of them. They believe that gaining the support of communist party voters could make a significant difference in their favor.

In the past, when the BRS was in power, they also sought support from Communist leaders. This strategy proved successful in the Munugode by-election, where the BRS candidate won over the BJP candidate with the help of Communist party support.
