    District Action Plans for Exports

    District Collector Rahul Sharma has directed officials in Bhupalpally to create detailed action plans for exporting Tussar Silk, cotton, and chillies. Speaking at a district-level Export Promotion Committee meeting on Saturday, which was organized by the district industry department at the IDOC office, he emphasized the importance of boosting exports from the region.

    He proposed the development of a dedicated district-level website to promote the national and international export of these products. According to him, this initiative would not only support the industrial growth of farmers but also enhance employment opportunities, improve the recognition of rural agricultural products, and strengthen business operations.

    The Collector urged officials to identify and resolve challenges faced in exporting these products. He called for the preparation of comprehensive action plans and the creation of baseline data to support export initiatives. He also highlighted the need for improving production quality, skill development, and motivating producers to participate actively in the export process.

    To further assist farmers, he suggested conducting awareness programs about the various schemes implemented by the Central and State governments. These programs, he said, would help farmers take full advantage of available resources.

    Anganwadi Centre Repairs

    In a separate review meeting, Rahul Sharma instructed Panchayati Raj, TGEWD, and engineering officials to expedite repair works at Anganwadi centres. These repairs include painting, improving water supply, and upgrading toilet facilities. The review meeting was attended by Additional Collector Vijaya Lakshmi and other officials from the Welfare and Women’s Development departments.

    Development of Jayashankar Park

    The District Collector also focused on urban development, specifically the improvement of Jayashankar Park in the Achary Bhushan Colony area. On Saturday, he visited the park to inspect its facilities for children and reviewed the condition of the sports equipment.

    Rahul Sharma directed municipal officials to prepare development proposals for the park. He recommended replacing damaged sports equipment with new ones and repairing the rubber tiles in the playground. Additionally, he stressed the importance of maintaining the plants in the park and instructed municipal officials to oversee their upkeep.
