The Mukamamidi project, one of the oldest dams in the area, is in a bad condition because the government hasn’t given enough money for repairs. BJP leaders visited the project and criticized the Congress government and the previous BRS government for not taking care of it.

The dam was built in 1979 to help farmers in 10 villages with irrigation, but now it can only hold a small amount of water because of silt buildup. The weir of the dam is also damaged in two places. The irrigation department asked for Rs 21 crore to fix these issues, but only Rs 9 crore was given by the government. Only Rs 6 crore worth of work has been done so far, while the rest of the money sits unused.

The BJP leader urged the government to act quickly to help the tribal farmers who rely on the dam for water. The lack of repairs has caused crops to suffer due to not enough rainfall in the area.
