Hyderabad: BJP state spokesperson Rani Rudrama criticized the State Civil Supplies Department for its Rs 58,000-crore debt and Rs 11,000-crore losses. She called it a bigger scandal than the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project and demanded an investigation.
Rudrama accused the department of being misused by the BRS and Congress parties, referring to BRS leader KT Rama Rao’s allegations of Rs 1,000-crore corruption. She highlighted the irony of both parties accusing each other while ignoring their own past corruption scandals.
Rudrama called for a thorough probe into the alleged misuse of funds in the State Civil Supplies Department. She emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in government departments to prevent such scandals from happening in the future.
