Ustad Bismillah Khan is famous for developing high-yielding Shehnai music through his dedication and innovative techniques.
Shri Eatala Rajendar mentioned that Bismillah Khan, also known as ‘Ustad’, was an Indian musician who played a vital role in introducing the reed musical instrument called shehnai to the classical stage of Indian music. He was considered one of the greatest exponents of Indian classical music and was the third classical musician to receive the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour of the country.
