Boinpally Vinod Kumar: Hyderabad, June 29 (Namaste Telangana): Vice-chairman of Telangana State Planning Board, Boinpally Vinod Kumar, questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana. He demanded a clear statement from Modi regarding the establishment of the Kazipet Railway Coach Factory. On Thursday, Vinod Kumar spoke to the media at the Ministers’ Quarters in Hyderabad. He informed that the people of Ummadi Warangal district have been protesting for the past four decades for the establishment of the railway coach factory in Kazipet.
However, instead of the railway coach factory, Vinod Kumar revealed that the demand was to start a wagon repair center. He expressed surprise that Narendra Modi is coming to Kazipet for the inauguration of the wagon repair center. Vinod Kumar stated that the establishment of the railway coach factory in Kazipet is the right of the people of Telangana according to Schedule 13, Section 93 of the State Reorganization Act, which was passed in Parliament.
Railway Ministers and States:
Vinod Kumar questioned whether Congress and BJP governments at the Centre have conspired against the establishment of the Kazipet Railway Coach Factory for 40 years. He asked who is currently serving as the Railway Minister and who is setting up railway coach factories in their respective states. He emphasized that this issue is related to national integrity. Vinod Kumar mentioned that when Jafar Sharif was the Railway Minister, railway coach factories were established in Bengaluru, West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee, Bihar under Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Niteesh Kumar. Sonia Gandhi was the chairperson of UP and during her tenure, railway coach factories were set up in Raebareli, Maharashtra under Piyush Goyal, and Gujarat under Modi.
After coming into power, BJP has given permission for new railway coach factories. Vinod Kumar questioned whether justice was served as railway coach factories were established in Lathur in April 2018 and Dahod in April 2022.
