Bridge and road repairs worth Rs 3.5 crore begin

Alampur is seeing new infrastructure projects to enhance transport and safety. MLA Sri Vijayudu and the MLC have initiated repairs on bridge culverts and blacktop road improvements with Rs 3.5 crore in funding.

The repairs focus on worn bridge culverts near the Dargah on the Aiza–Kurnool road, part of Aiza Municipality, along with 6 kilometers of deteriorated blacktop road.

During a site visit, MLA Vijayudu highlighted the poor state of these culverts and roads. He noted that such damage could disrupt heavy vehicle and commuter traffic. He urged officials from the R&B DepartmentAE Altaf, DE Subhash, and contractor Nagayya Naidu—to ensure quick and high-quality repairs.

He stressed the urgency, saying, “The bridge culverts need immediate attention to avoid serious safety risks. Efficient use of the funds will make the road fully operational soon.”

The inspection included several BRS Party leaders and local representatives.

These upgrades aim to improve road connectivity in Alampur. Residents and travelers will benefit from the safer, more efficient transport options.
