Hyderabad: On Friday, KT Rama Rao, the Working President of BRS, criticized both the Congress and BJP for allegedly having a close political connection in Telangana. He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of leading a government that is against Dalits and tribals.
During a student event celebrating the merger of Telangana Rashtra Vidyarthi Sainik Parishad into the BRS student wing, KT Rama Rao questioned why Rahul Gandhi of Congress remained silent about the alleged cooperation between Revanth Reddy and BJP MP CM Ramesh. Rao claimed that the Congress government in Telangana was giving huge contracts to BJP leaders. He highlighted a contract worth Rs 1,600 crore for the ‘Fourth City Road’ given to CM Ramesh. “When the Congress Chief Minister awards large contracts to BJP MPs, why does Rahul Gandhi stay quiet? Is he ignoring this risky partnership?” he asked.
Rama Rao also mocked Revanth Reddy for celebrating a letter from Sonia Gandhi, suggesting that Revanth misunderstood a polite note as high praise. “He couldn’t even read the letter correctly. Instead of an Oscar, he deserves a ‘Bhaskar Award’,” KTR joked. He further questioned the legitimacy of Revanth Reddy’s educational background, saying, “If he can’t understand a simple letter, it’s fair to doubt his degree.”
