Text Size: 100%

Telangana BJP Affairs incharge Tarun Chugh stated that the list of 115 BRS Assembly candidates announced by CM K Chandrashekar Rao is causing unrest. Chugh mentioned that there were talks about changes and dropping of MLAs due to corruption charges and their inaccessibility to the public. The BRS chief himself claimed that he had information about 20 party MLAs taking a cut in the disbursal of the Dalit Bandhu scheme. Chugh criticized the fact that the list did not include at least 20 new candidates, suggesting that KCR has endorsed corruption among MLAs.

Chugh further criticized the party for its hypocrisy, citing an example where KCR’s daughter demanded a reservation for women in legislatures but the list only included seven women candidates. He accused KCR of opportunism, pointing out how he used and then discarded allies like the CPI and CPM. Chugh claimed that waves of anti-incumbency are sweeping across Telangana, and people are looking to the BJP to fulfill their aspirations and free the state from corruption and dynasty rule.
