The political equations in Maheshwaram constituency in Rangareddy district are changing as the elections approach. The main competition is between the BRS and the Congress party. The constituency consists of four mandals and four urban local bodies. The Balapur mandal is crucial in deciding the outcome as it covers Jalpally municipality, which has a significant minority vote. The voters seem to be leaning towards BRS and P Sabita Indra Reddy for a second term.

While the Congress candidate K Laxma Reddy is actively campaigning in every corner of the constituency, Sabita Indra Reddy reminds voters of her role in their lives and the development she has brought. Voters believe that no other party except Congress can challenge BRS in Maheshwaram because of the strong emotional connection between Sabita Indra Reddy and the people.
