Hyderabad: BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was put under house arrest on Thursday. This happened after he announced that he would visit the residence of Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi.
Kaushik Reddy, the Huzurabad MLA, made this decision after Gandhi clarified that he had not joined the Congress party and was still with the BRS.
A large number of police officers were stationed outside Kaushik Reddy’s residence in Kondapur. The police made sure that he could not leave his house.
Kaushik Reddy had planned to visit Gandhi’s house, make him wear the BRS pink scarf, and invite him to Telangana Bhavan for a press conference. Reddy himself was scheduled to address the media later in the afternoon.
