Hyderabad: Government to Offer 35,000 More Jobs by Year-End
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a major announcement about government employment. He revealed that over 30,000 positions have already been filled in the first two months of his administration. By the end of the year, an additional 35,000 jobs will be provided.
The Chief Minister made this announcement at the Sub-Inspector (SI) Passing Out Parade at the Telangana Police Academy on Wednesday. He congratulated the newly trained SIs and said the event was a special memory for him.
Reflecting on Telangana’s journey since its formation, Revanth Reddy acknowledged that many students and activists were unhappy due to unemployment. However, he assured that his government has worked hard to create jobs. He also mentioned that the Telangana Public Service Commission is actively filling vacancies.
The Chief Minister also talked about the growing problem of drug addiction in Telangana. He said the government is taking strict action against drugs and narcotics. He expressed confidence that the police will handle issues like cybercrime and the drug problem with dedication.
“Being a police officer is not just a job; it’s an emotion, a responsibility,” he said.
Revanth Reddy also spoke about the government’s efforts to boost investments in Telangana and support traditional occupations. He proudly mentioned that `18,000 crore has been deposited directly into farmers’ accounts to support agricultural growth.
Additionally, the Chief Minister addressed the issue of illegal encroachments around lakes. He warned that there will be no leniency for those who have encroached on lakes. The HYDRA agency has been set up to reclaim these encroached areas. He urged people to vacate the encroached land voluntarily or face demolition.
Revanth Reddy emphasized that his government is committed to removing all illegal constructions, especially in Full Tank Level (FTL) zones, buffer zones, and drainage areas. He said that even if encroachers go to court, the government will fight to remove these illegal structures.
He also shared his plan to clean up the Musi River with the help of the central government. This includes removing encroachments and developing the riverfront, with promises of business opportunities for the underprivileged.
Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender also spoke at the event. He stressed the importance of police officers not just reacting to crimes but preventing them. He emphasized the need for constant technological updates and teamwork within the force.
A total of 547 Sub-Inspectors participated in the Passing Out Parade, including 145 women and 402 men.
