The BRS party in Veldanda mandal of Kalwakurthy constituency has received a major blow as 15 Sarpanches from the mandal have decided to join the Congress party. They made this decision in the presence of TPCC President Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Monday. Along with the Sarpanches, prominent BRS leaders such as former MPP Jayaprakash and Sarpanch Association president Bhupathi Reddy have also resigned and are planning to join the Congress party.

This move by the Sarpanches and BRS leaders has given the Congress party a strong foothold in Kalwakurthy. It will pose a tough challenge for the incumbent BRS candidate Jaipal Yadav to defeat his rival Congress candidate Kasi Reddy Narayan Reddy in the Kalwakurthy constituency. Political analysts believe that the Congress party is expected to have a significant influence in Kalwakurthy and the surrounding region.
