Hyderabad: B Vinod Kumar, a senior leader from the BRS, highlighted a significant finding on Wednesday. The latest NCRB report praised the farmer-friendly strategies of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Kumar noted that the NCRB 2023 data shows a remarkable drop in farmer suicides in Telangana. The numbers fell from 1,209 cases in 2015 to just 48 in 2023. This impressive decrease is due to the effective and caring policies introduced under KCR’s leadership. The NCRB reports, such as those on Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India, are crucial for policy decisions and research.
He emphasized programs like Rythu Bandhu, a unique direct support initiative, and Rythu Bima, a comprehensive insurance scheme. These efforts boosted agriculture productivity and eased financial and mental stress for farmers. By creating a secure environment, these policies gave farmers confidence and made farming a respectable and sustainable occupation. This success story confirms that prioritizing farmers’ welfare can effectively solve rural issues. Telangana’s approach under KCR is now a model for the entire country.
Vinod Kumar reaffirmed the BRS party’s dedication to safeguarding farmers’ interests. He stated that the future growth and prosperity of Telangana will continue to focus on the well-being of its farmers.
