Hyderabad: The BRS is getting ready for upcoming elections in areas where their MLAs have joined the Congress. They are meeting with local leaders to plan strategies and choose candidates.
The party expects elections soon because the Speaker has notified the defected MLAs. Leaders like K. T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao are urging members to gear up for these elections.
After losing in previous elections, the BRS aims to regain strength in the bypolls. They skipped the MLC elections but are now focusing on bypolls and local elections.
On Sunday, a meeting took place in Serilingampally, where MLA Arikepudi Gandhi received a notice. KTR criticized the MLA and others for joining Congress for personal benefits. He emphasized that while some leave, loyal members will lead the party to victory.
Earlier, a gathering in Gajwel focused on local elections. Harish Rao shared a survey predicting BRS will win 16 to 18 Zilla Parishads. He advised workers to stay united, confident but not overconfident, and to inform people about Telangana’s progress.
KTR also directed district leaders to hold meetings in every area and prepare diligently for the elections.
