Wanaparthy district recently faced a shocking event where seven female students were bitten by rats. This situation has gained widespread attention across the state.
The Gurukul Principal’s poor handling of the incident drew criticism from BRS leaders. They believe the authorities are trying to hide the issue to protect the government’s reputation.
Gattu Yadav, TRS Wanaparthy District President, expressed his concern about repeated incidents in different districts, including this recent one in Buddharam, Wanaparthy. The government’s efforts to provide quality education through Gurukuls are overshadowed by poor conditions.
Bathrooms with bad odors are located next to sleeping areas, and there are water leaks in the building. The initiative by KCR to establish a thousand Gurukuls aimed to support underprivileged students, but government negligence and the principal’s mismanagement have created unsafe conditions.
Yadav demanded the principal be suspended for threatening students and failing to provide adequate facilities. He urged District Collector Buddharam to inspect the school thoroughly, particularly the bathrooms, dormitories, and structural issues.
He warned that if repairs aren’t made within a week, he would lead a protest at the Wanaparthy district headquarters. Several local leaders and BRS members, including Gopalapet Mandal President Balaraju and BRSV District Presidents Hemanth and Suryavansham Giri, supported this call to action.
