The BRS has decided to observe ‘Deeksha Diwas’ on November 29 to commemorate the Hunger Strike by BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao in 2009. The party’s working president, KT Rama Rao, called upon party members and Telangana supporters to participate in events across the state. Rama Rao stated that the hunger strike by KCR had a significant impact on the separate state movement. He urged party members to expose the Congress party’s arrogance and remind people of their misdeeds.
As part of the observance, party leaders have been asked to hoist flags on houses, donate blood, and engage in social services. Rama Rao responded to a question about TPCC chief Revanth Reddy’s comments on the Rythu Bandhu scheme, stating that Congress leaders fail to recognize the benefits provided to farmers. He also criticized the dummy candidates fielded by the Congress party in certain constituencies and expressed confidence in defeating them.
Rama Rao also commented on advertisements by the Karnataka government in local newspapers, questioning their purpose and calling the Karnataka government a failure. He further mentioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, suggesting that he should focus more on his own state. Rama Rao emphasized that only the BRS has the strength to defeat the BJP.
Additionally, Rama Rao stated that Rahul Gandhi was Prime Minister Modi’s biggest asset and suggested that he should first win in Amethi.
