Hyderabad: The BRS party plans to send a show cause notice to MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha after her recent criticism of the party leadership. Party members have been instructed to remain silent about the situation.
Sources reveal that the party leaders are unhappy with Kavitha for discussing internal matters publicly. While the party previously overlooked a similar incident, they now want her to explain her remarks about party leaders and family members. Recently, Kavitha talked to the media after facing social media backlash for a letter she wrote to the party chief. She accused some of plotting to merge the BRS with the BJP.
BRS leaders have remained silent about Kavitha’s comments. At a press conference, senior leader P Sabita Indra Reddy claimed she wasn’t aware of Kavitha’s statements. Sources indicate that the BRS chief, KCR, is displeased with Kavitha’s media interaction. Despite sending an emissary to calm her, she continued to criticize the party publicly.
