Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the BRS Working President, announced on Sunday that the party plans to take legal action in the Supreme Court over the recent movement of MLAs. The goal is to hold a by-election in the Rajendranagar Assembly constituency.

In a gathering at Telangana Bhavan, several leaders and workers from Rajendranagar joined BRS. Rama Rao welcomed them with the party’s signature pink scarf. He stated that the first significant political challenge would be in Jubilee Hills and then in Rajendranagar or Khairatabad, aiming at Congress strongholds.

Rama Rao criticized Kadiyam Srihari, saying he is in a difficult situation, unable to declare his party choice. He dared the Congress party to participate in the by-election. Rama Rao confidently predicted that BRS will return to power in two years, with KCR becoming Chief Minister again. He warned that the new BRS government will act decisively and hold those accountable for past issues.

MLA B Laxma Reddy emphasized the strong support for BRS in Jubilee Hills, highlighting minority community backing and positive responses to KCR’s governance. Former Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy stressed the importance of BRS winning local body elections to solve civic issues and advance KCR’s development plans.

The party aims to legally challenge the defections in the Supreme Court and gain public support through targeted by-elections, beginning with Rajendranagar. Khairatabad is next, as part of a strategic effort to weaken Congress and strengthen BRS before the next Assembly elections.
