Burra Venkatesham has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The official order was signed by the Governor of Telangana, and Venkatesham will begin his duties on December 2, 2023.
This appointment comes as the tenure of the current Chairperson, M. Mahender Reddy, is ending on December 3. To ensure a smooth transition, the government has issued a notification announcing the new leadership for the commission.

Burra Venkatesham is currently serving as the Education Secretary and is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Before taking up his new role, he will step down from his current position by opting for the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS).
