Revanth Reddy reflected on a significant decision made by a farmer exactly one year ago. On that day, the farmer voted for “change” at the polling booth — a decision Reddy said has transformed not only the farmer’s life but also the future of the entire agricultural community. According to him, this vote has rewritten history for farmers.
Reddy highlighted several measures introduced to support farmers over the past year. These initiatives include a simultaneous loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh and an allocation of Rs 7,625 crore as financial assurance for farmers. Additionally, grain producers have been given a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal, and free electricity worth Rs 10,444 crore is now being provided.
Other efforts include Rs 1,433 crore allocated for farmer insurance, Rs 95 crore set aside to compensate for crop losses, and Rs 10,547 crore invested in purchasing grains. In total, these programs have injected a massive Rs 54,000 crore into the agricultural sector, which Reddy described as a “festival of hope and prosperity” for farmers in the region.
“This is not just a number,” Reddy stated. “It represents the deep trust that farmers have placed in us.” He expressed pride in the progress achieved and urged everyone to join in celebrating the success of farmers.
As part of the celebrations, Reddy invited the public to come together and participate in a collective gathering in Palamuru, marking the farmers’ festival and the state’s remarkable progress in supporting agriculture.
