The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, has planned a 21-day celebration for the decennial of Telangana formation day, starting on June 2. The celebration will include the distribution of Podu land titles to tribals, housing plots to the poor, and the foundation stone for a multi-specialty NIMS hospital in Hyderabad. Each day will have a specific focus, and special programs will be organized on a large scale. On May 25, a Collectors conference will be held to discuss the arrangements and activities to be taken up under Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
Podu land pattas will be distributed to tribal beneficiaries from June 24 to June 30. The CM ordered officials to collect details of the tribals who received new land ownership, including their names in the Rythu Bandhu scheme. The government will open a bank account and directly deposit Rythu Bandhu benefits to the owners of the land titles. Suitable government lands will be identified in villages for the distribution of house plots to deserving people during the Formation Day celebrations. The Gruha Lakshmi scheme’s guidelines will be finalized soon, and the Dalit Bandhu will continue in July.
June 14 will be observed as Health Day during the formation day celebrations, with KCR laying the foundation stone for the construction of a 2000 bed super specialty NIMS hospital. Each day of the celebration will have a specific theme, such as Telangana Farmers Day on June 3, Telangana Electricity Day on June 5, and Telangana Women Welfare Day on June 13. The celebration will end on June 22, which will be observed as Telangana Martyrs Day.
