Hanumakonda: In Milpitas, located in the Bay Area, the Bathukamma festival recently brought together a lively celebration organized by the Women Empowerment Telugu Association (WETA). The event was rich in tradition and culture, drawing many participants.
Over 800 people, including families with children and elders, joined the celebration. They carried colorful Bathukammas, adding brightness to the occasion.
Celebrating Bathukamma, a flower festival from Telangana, abroad with similar enthusiasm is a source of pride. Women formed circles, singing Bathukamma songs and traditional folk tunes, creating a joyful atmosphere.
The event was graced by special performances from actress Udaya Bhanu, dance expert Kondru Hussain, and energetic anchor Rachana, who delighted the audience with their talents.
TPCC vice president Jhansi Reddy, who founded WETA and serves as its advisory chair, attended the festival in the U.S., marking a proud moment for the Telugu community.
