Vijayawada: Fertility awareness is still low in many parts of India, especially in rural and underserved areas. East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao highlighted this issue during an event held on Friday in Vijayawada.
He spoke at the launch of the Oasis Janani Yatra, a campaign organized by Oasis Fertility. The goal of this campaign is to educate people about fertility and offer support to couples trying to have children. It aims to clear up common myths and encourage open discussions about reproductive health.
The Oasis Janani Yatra is a 30-day journey that will cover 30 towns across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The campaign began on Mother’s Day in Vijayawada, marking a symbolic start to a mission focused on creating new life.
MLA Rammohan Rao praised the effort, saying it helps couples make informed choices about parenthood by giving them access to accurate medical information and guidance.
Several key doctors from Oasis Fertility were present at the event, including Dr. Krishna Chaitanya M, the Scientific Head and Clinical Embryologist, and Dr. Venkata Sujatha Vellanki, Regional Medical Head and Fertility Specialist. Other notable medical professionals like Dr. Tripura, Dr. Vellanki Sridevi, and Dr. Somalatha also joined the event.
The campaign is expected to reach thousands of people, offering hope and clarity to those facing fertility challenges.
