Nagarkurnool: A serious issue has emerged at the Nagarkurnool Government General Hospital involving the neglectful behavior of some doctors, particularly towards poor patients. Many of the medical staff, including those in critical units like the Emergency and ICU wards, are not being properly supervised. This lack of oversight has led to reports of some doctors playing games like Candy Crush on their phones during work hours.

On a busy Saturday night around 8:40 pm, patients from nearby villages came to the hospital for medical help. Although two doctors were attending to patients, another doctor was seen absorbed in her phone game. Despite a line of patients waiting for attention, she allegedly told the security guard to keep them outside so she could continue playing, ignoring her responsibilities.

While some staff members were diligently working, others seemed indifferent, causing distress among patients and their families. Many believe this negligence stems from the hospital superintendent’s failure to enforce regular oversight and discipline.

This incident is even more concerning because it happened on the same day that Aarogyasri CEO Uday Kumar and District Collector Badavath Santosh visited and inspected the hospital. The fact that such negligence occurred shortly after a high-level inspection has left many people shocked and questioning the hospital’s operations. Citizens are calling for immediate action from authorities to ensure accountability and improve healthcare services.
