In Hyderabad, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board has accepted 21 candidate nominations for the upcoming by-election. Out of 24 nominations, only three – MA Srinivas, Bangari Raju, and Naganeni Saritha – were rejected during the scrutiny process. The Election Commission of India has also developed an app called “Know Your Candidate” where information about the candidates can be accessed.
An official from the SCB mentioned that Priyanka Shukla, the General Observer for the by-elections in the 071-Secunderabad Cantonment (SC) Assembly constituency, visited the office of the Returning Officer on Thursday. During her visit, she observed the process of submission of nomination forms by the aspiring candidates.
