Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his monthly broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that Mission Chandrayaan has become a symbol of the spirit of New India. He stated that the mission represents the determination and ability of the country to achieve victory in any situation.
India’s moon lander successfully landed near the South Pole of the moon after traveling over 3.84 lakh km for more than 40 days. This achievement makes India the fourth nation in the world to accomplish this feat. The lander set its four legs softly and safely on the lunar soil as planned.
