Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy made a light-hearted invitation to AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi. He invited Akbaruddin to contest from his constituency, Kodangal, on a Congress ticket. Revanth added that if Akbaruddin accepted, he would be made the Deputy Chief Minister. This would allow him to sit beside Revanth and present the next budget.
Revanth Reddy also addressed concerns about funds for Backward Classes (BCs). He suggested that the MLA give a chance to a BC candidate from the Congress party to win from his constituency. Revanth assured that it would be his responsibility to ensure Akbaruddin’s victory if he decided to run from Kodangal.
He humorously promised that Akbaruddin wouldn’t even need to visit the constituency. Revanth pledged to act as Akbaruddin’s Chief Election Agent and ensure his win. He concluded by saying that Akbaruddin would be made Deputy CM and would oversee the budget, which amused the members of the house and made them burst into laughter.
