Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asks Kharge to discuss BC reservation in Parliament

Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, recently visited New Delhi. He was accompanied by ministers and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud. They met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to talk about the need for Backward Class (BC) reservation bills.

In their meeting at the Rajya Sabha Opposition Leader’s Chamber, Reddy urged for more pressure in Parliament to speed up the approval of these bills. He shared details about the ongoing BC Porubata dharna and described steps taken to support their cause. Reddy also explained the caste census process in Telangana and noted that the state Assembly had already approved these bills.

Reddy is working to arrange a meeting with the President to help pass the bills. He also mentioned that Members of Parliament from India Alliance parties showed support for the dharna at Jantar Mantar, backing the demand for BC reservation.
